About the project

In this short film, “Sendero del Jaguar,” viewers are taken on a transformative journey into the heart of Oaxaca, Mexico. The film revolves around the personal experiences of Santiago Carsolio, who grew up in a 1990s Mexico he considered dystopian due to the perceived disconnect between humanity and nature. Central themes in the documentary include the profound impact of environmental degradation on society, the search for hope in a world seemingly devoid of it, and the powerful potential of individuals and communities to restore harmony between humans and the natural world. “Sendero del Jaguar” is a story of rediscovering faith in humanity and celebrating the triumph of sustainable living in an interconnected world.
